Most people would say that they hate the Call Of Duty series.
Granted, Activision keeps releasing COD games to appease the masses, but at least thier games are enjoyable (my opinion). No surprise that Activision, this time with lead original developer Infinity Ward (the more recent game “Call Of Duty: Black Ops” was developed by Treyarch, not Infinity Ward), are set to release “Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3“. Or as I like to call it, “Call Of Duty 8: Modern Warfare 3“. The the main plot is set after the events of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. With the world in turmoil, crazy Russians unleash hell, retaliating against the world (technically the U.S.) due to the events in MW2.
With recent news that gaming blog Kotaku leaking most, if not all, of the story and essential plot, much of the focus has now shifted onto the multiplayer portion of the game. As we all know, COD is rooted in the multiplayer pro-gaming scene, and with so many players still playing either Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops multiplayer, fans are drooling and avidly waiting for news about the multiplayer.
Too bad that nothing is currently known, details are scant but Activision promises to have “better” multiplayer for COD: MW3, upgrading and overhauling the online play. Which is a relief, because most gamers know that this should be first priority, as the scandal that erupted when MW2 was released such as lack of dedicated servers, multiplayer hacking/exploiting, unplayability during the first few weeks of release, has us hoping that Activision can make the new game shine upon release. Don’t mess this up Activision! You’re certain to make lots of money while releasing a stellar game that everyone (of age) can enjoy!
