Buying an SSD? Check out VisionTek’s GoDrive

Buying a solid state drive (SSD) can be a daunting task, what with all the considerations and specifics required by users from SSD models/brands.

For gamers, the issue of enhanced performance and budget stands to be a huge cause for concern, and as an SSD, VisionTek’s GoDrive is one SSD which efficiently combines both considerations in one item.

Here’s a Quick Look at the GoDrive by VisionTek.

Peak Performance within Budgets

As an enhanced SSD option, VisionTek’s Racer 240GB-SSD drive is quite performance enhanced, but its price isn’t really something everyone can get at the drop of the hat.

In comes the GoDrive also by VisionTek, which comes with the SF-2281 controller sans the Toggle NAND which is made with the Racer 240GB-SSD, but still built to easily process data in quick, reliable speeds.

Specs-wise the VisionTek GO 120GB comes with the SandForce (SF-220 SSD processor) built with DuraClass and DuraWrite technologies.

Featuring intelligent advanced free space management features, read disturb management and block management and wear leveling, the SSD is made to reliably store data, with its best-in-class standard in ECC protection in terms of longer long term drive life and data/files retention.

With OS-dependent TRIM support, the drive’s SSD processor is matched with a Micron-qualified MLC NAND flash, which yields to reliability, performance and best overall values. It also features Native Command Queuing (NCQ), to up to 32 commands.

As a series, VisionTek’s GoDrives are available in 80GB, 120GB and 240GB variants, each coming with 3 year warranties if purchased from authorized resellers/dealers. They may not be as “features-packed” when matched against the Racer series, but for its price, the GoDrive is one that is still a name worth reckoning when talking about performance-enhanced SSDs.
