Casino is the story of Sam \u201cAce\u201d Rothstein (Robert De Niro) who funnels money out the back door of the fictional Tangiers hotel he all but runs for mob elders in the East. He does this to avoid being caught on gambling charges and he is helped along by feisty former hooker\/call-girl Ginger McKenna (Sharon Stone). Mob strong-arm Nicky Santoro comes out to Vegas to protect Rothstein and eventually ends up running his own rackets.<\/p>\n
While the seedy backroom gambling parlor stereotype still exists there are many casinos that are a safe and enjoyable place for adults to spend some time. These lawful gambling pavilions usually employ security guards, monitor their parking lots and take precautions against violent crime that can afflict the surrounding neighborhood.
